Location: Tropicana Hotel
Raiding the Rock Vault Las Vegas is an entertaining walk down Rock and Roll memory lane that is performing at the Tropicana Theater located within the Tropicana Hotel and Casino.
This intriguing two hour show features live musicians playing hit rock and roll songs from the 1960s through the 1990s. Written by John Payne who was the former front man for Asia with Grammy Award winning record producer David Kershenbaum, Raiding the Rock Vault is a full scale musical extravaganza. The stage is always packed with several artists ripping guitars, beating drums and tapping keyboards to combine together for a rhythmic rendition of many classic songs. The event brings high energy and intensity from many famous rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Guns and Roses, Heart, The Rolling Stones, The Doors and AC/DC. Guests can revel in the glory of great rock and roll songs as well as anthems that have been written over the years by many hall of fame musicians.
Performing members of the Raiding the Rock Vault are no strangers to the world of rock and roll with many playing for big name artists in the past. Don’t be surprised if you see Jon Anderson formerly of Yes or Howard Leese of Heart or Tracii Guns who was one of the founding members of Guns and Roses out on the stage performing. There is a wide variety of rock and roll artists that may join the regular eight person group on stage.
The musicians are masterful in their showmanship and the nature of the show has performers switching from playing the bass guitar to being the lead vocal on the next song. The talent among the musicians sets this show apart from just an average night of music. One night you might witness a stirring Highway to Hell cover by AC/DC or Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple before shifting gears to an outrageous cover from Queen. The show is perfect for those wanting to relive the rocker days of their youth as well as for a quick history of rock and roll music for their son and/or daughter to enjoy.
The 1,500 seat Tropicana Theater has perfect sight views for the visual effects that range from video screens going wild with intricate psychedelic prints to simple lighting for an acoustic solo to a loud burst of pyro techniques exploding in the air. The choreography is excellent for this type of show and the multimedia effects that are featured intertwine nicely with the musical theme. The Raiding the Rock Vault continues to put a big smile on guests faces with perfect versions of Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger, Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir and the Eagles Hotel California. The music and the musicians are the real deal at Raiding the Rock Vault making this an entertaining show for any age of the spectrum.
