Solid Gold Soul Las Vegas - Tickets & Review
The Solid Gold Soul show is one of the more entertaining Las Vegas tribute shows that highlights the music of numerous Motown artists. The artists are spot on in appearance, musical talent and they have all the right dance moves from the Hustle to the Bus Stop to the Bump.
The show opens up with a lively dance number where all the tribute artists take their place on the stage to reenact some of the best moves from a medley of songs from the 1960s and ‘70s. From here the show continues from one great artist to other artists who are spot on in appearance and musical talents. The crowd is very appreciative of the study time that each tribute artist has spent in honing their skills that bring the Motown greats back to the stage.
Throughout the performance the audience is in awe of the vocals on songs by such artists as Michael Jackson, Martha Reeves and Vandellas, Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder. The costumes are gloriously thought through with sequinned suits, penny loafers and black suites that highlight the moves of the performers as they sing as well as dance in unison.
The tribute artists don’t stop once they get started and the crowd is singing as well as dancing in their seats from the very beginning of the show. When James Brown appears on stage, the floor starts to shake as he belts out an endearing version of I Got You (I Feel Good) while wearing a signature cape that only Brown can wear. Another highlight from the show that captivates the audience is Ray Charles pounding the piano and singing Hit the Road Jack as well as a tearful version of Georgia On My Mind.
The stunning performance by Diana Ross and the Supremes showcases the mega-groups hits that range from Baby Love to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. The stage is electric all throughout the show which also features songs from the Four Tops, Temptations and of course the Jackson 5. Overall, the Solid Gold Soul show is a delight for everyone who has ever dreamed of listening to the Motown greats on stage. The choreography, music and voices of the tribute artists bring the sounds of Detroit and the dance styles of a generation to the stage for a must see Las Vegas tribute show.
The Solid Gold Cast includes a number of standout tribute artists that have studied the Motown greats and recreate the music, dance steps as well as the appearance of many Motown stars. Cast members include Marva Scott as Diana Ross and Martha Reeves; Grady Harrell plays Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson; Talmadge Pearsall is Smokey Robinson; Greg Laster represents Michael Jackson and James Brown; Peter Peterkin plays a perfect Ray Charles.
